| The
Hornsea Connexions Centre includes office space for ten staff, an
IT suite, a hospitality area, a Solutions teaching area and a Connexions
Meeting room. Four of the offices are our main interview rooms.
Whilst the Connexions focus is mainly on young people aged 13
– 19 years no pupil is ever refused help.
The Meeting room contains videos and reference
material to help students with career choices, further education
information as well as information helping with more personal
problems related to sex, drugs, housing, relationships, disabilities
ethnicity etc etc.
The Centre is open every school day and for several periods during
holidays.
Dedicated and enthusiastic staff
also provide special courses including The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award and PAYP (Positive
Activities for Young People); some of these activities extend
into holiday periods.
