Key Stage 3 Schemes of Work are based upon the National
Curriculum Programmes of Study and The National Literacy
Strategy in order to ensure coverage of all objectives
across each year.
GCSE and A Level planning is based on the AQA syllabuses.
Schemes of Work outline the objectives to be covered
in each unit and suggestions of activities. It is
expected that teachers will adapt the scheme to suit
the needs of their teaching group.
Detailed lesson planning, including suitable differentiation,
is the teacher’s responsibility.
Assessment foci are indicated on Schemes of Work;
National Curriculum levels awarded must be supported
by documentary evidence held by students and staff.
