| The year 10's produced a brilliant display tonight to beat Beverley Grammar school 2-0 in the final held at Driffield. In awful conditions Hornsea took control of the match and created two good chances before they made the break through with an own goal from a corner. As the half progressed, Hornsea continued to create chances going against the wind and rain. Lewis Reeve & Ryan Openshaw caused lots of problems for the Beverley defence and were well assisted by Jacob Crozier. In the second half Beverley started to come into the game and created a very good chance to equalise but the striker put his effort wide. Hornsea used this as a wake up call to push on and after hitting the post with a powerful effort from 30 yards Ryan Openshaw doubled Hornsea's advantage with a well taken goal. |
