Thanks to a funding grant from MiTown, we launched a Twilight Bus Service at the start of the Autumn term this year.
The service runs every Tuesday and Wednesday and provides free transport home to our students that live in the surrounding villages in Hornsea. This means that all students now have access to our After School Activity Programme and can join in the many clubs and activities on offer.
The routes on offer are as follows:
Route A – Atwick, Skipsea, (Ulrome), Beeford, Bewholme, Brandesburton
Route B – Rolston Road ( Freeport), Cowden, Mappleton, (Great Hatfield/Withernwick), Aldbrough.
Route C – Seaton, Sigglesthorne, Catfoss Lane, Catwick, Leven, Long Riston.
Routes A and B will depart from Hornsea School at 5.00pm. Route C will be utilising the 240 Service Bus, which departs outside the Rose & Crown at 5.00pm. Students using the 240 will also be able to travel free of charge at this time, as long as they have the relevant ‘ Twilight Service Bus Pass’.
Students who wish to use this service will need to come to the Lower School Office to collect a bus pass. Although there will not be a charge for the use of the service and the bus passes will have no monetary value, it is vital that students have a pass to show the driver, so that we can monitor the number of students using the service etc. Students will not be allowed to travel unless they have a valid pass for this service. Please note that this pass will not be the same as the normal school bus pass and that the Twilight Bus Pass will not be valid on the school buses and equally, the School Bus Passes will not be valid on the Twilight Buses.
