Web based resources for Secondary schools

‘Adopt, adapt and share’

Many digital learning resources suitable for Secondary subject teachers are available online and more are becoming available on an almost daily basis. Whatever the subject area, such resources can often be downloaded and adapted by the teacher to meet specific learning objectives whilst others can be used ‘as is’. These may be copyright free, ‘freely available through licencing’ or available as priced products.

This series of short booklets is designed to provide a voyage of discovery for all teaching and non-teaching staff that are not already experienced explorers of the internet. Each booklet has been assembled for Becta by specific Subject Association members and should not be seen as definitive or prescriptive.

They are intended to make working with ICT that much easier, designed to provide quick and easy reference points for teachers looking for digital learning resources to support the use of ICT in secondary school subjects. Whether for professional development or practical classroom ideas, significant starting points are highlighted in each booklet.

The series currently comprises of seven subject areas:

Each booklet is provided as a Word document to allow users to add additional resources as they see appropriate.
