Welcome to Hornsea School's Virtual Learning Environment (VLE).

The VLE will be used to support student learning both in school and at home via the Internet. They will be supported with high quality online teaching materials, electronic homeworks and assessments and will develop essential skills in the use of online communication tools. Parents and carers will be able to track pupil progress across each of the subjects studied using the internet to monitor how well their children are performing at school, what lessons they are taking and when.

Hornsea School and Language College are among the first schools in our area which are already implementing a Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) system to manage courses, timetables, homework and track learners' progress. It comes as part of a government plan to have every secondary pupil's attendance, behaviour and performance on line within the next two years.
