| What Will I Learn? |
|
These are 3/6 unit courses designed to be taken over a one year period of study in the sixth form. All units are internally assessed and graded on submission of a portfolio of evidence.
For both courses there are two core units which must be taken: Communication and Individual Rights within the Health and Social Care Sectors Individual Needs withing the Health and Social Care Sectors.
Optional Units include:
Vocational Experience in a Health and Social Care Setting
Human Lifespan Development
Health and Social Care Services
The Impace of Diet on Health

No specific GCSE subject or grades are required to apply for this course, though students who have studied Health and Social Care in the past may be at an advantage. |

The course will offer students the opportunity to gain an insight into care services, and the knowledge and skills required to work in that environment.
