Working with Fashion Design Briefs
Unit 1 : 2D and 3D Visual Communication
Focuses on learning the skills needed to be able to communicate ideas effectively. Students will be introduced to a wide range of 2D and 3D processes and techniques to encourage imaginative and creative design solutions.
Unit 2 : Contextual References in Art and Design
Focuses on developing an understanding of both past and contemporary art, craft and design, and how these fields can have an influence on the work of current artists and designers. Students will be encouraged to use knowledge gained in unit 1 to recognise and record how artists, craftspeople and designers use visual language to communicate their ideas. Students will also be gi9ven the opportunity to study specific art movements and artists.
Unit 7 : Working with Fashion Design Briefs
This unit will provide an insight into the life of a professional fashion designer through experimentation with tools, materials and techniques. The student will learn how to develop ideas and final outcomes to meet fashion design briefs, learn how to use pattern drafting processes and be able to use construction techniques
