| What Will I Learn? |

This course consists of three units, two comprise coursework, and the third is an externally set and marked ’Open Paper ’ exam.
Unit 1. is a study of the leisure industry, examining how it has developed over the years, to its present scale and importance today.
Unit 2. investigates the importance and delivery of customer services in leisure organisations.
Unit 3. examines the business of effectively running leisure organisations.
Work undertaken on this course is a blend of practical research, visits and class based study. |

| What Are The Entry Requirements? |
There are no specific prerequisites for this course other than sufficient GCSE passes at c+ to go onto AS level studies. Students with an active interest in sport and leisure activities will come the subject with a good foundation for studying this course. |

| Is There Anything Else I Need To Know? |
Students undertaking this course will develop a sound understanding of the Leisure Industry, how it is a dynamic industry constantly growing and offering career opportunities to more than 1.8 million people in the UK. With an insight into employment in the various areas of the industry students will have gained the information to make an informed decision about further studies or a possible career in the industry. |

Higher Education is an option, with a range of degree courses now being available in Leisure Studies/Leisure Management/Sports Studies etc. Progression into employment in the leisure industry is also an option.
